Camping Pictures at Tuolumne Meadows / Yosemite

Jessica and I went up to Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite National Park for about 6 days. We went up with my old church, Calvary of Placentia. I hadn't been up here for at least 5 years, so I had a blast. It was also awesome to show some of these places to Jessica, who had never been here.

Day 1

We got up to Tuolumne late in the morning, so we took a stroll up the river with my parents.

Day 2

Today we went to Tioga Lake, just outside of Yosemite. The lake was supposedly stocked with trout, but we didn't catch any. We did find some fresh bear poop, and he was sighted in the area.

On the way back to camp, Jessica and I decided to walk down to the Cascades.

Day 4

I talked Jessica into hiking up to Gaylor / Granite Lakes, even though it was raining. Turns out that it rained all day long. We got back to camp early, so we went for a drive down to White Wolf campground. After all that, we sat in the motorhome and watched Black Hawk Down.

Day 5

Jessica and I decided to walk to "Ten Lakes", which didn't seem to be that tough of a hike. The ranger lied! It turned out to be a 13 mile round trip hike. We climbed 2200 feet and then dropped back down almost a thousand to get to the lakes. Then we went back. It took about 3.5 hours each way. The lakes were beautiful, but I don't think I'll be going back any time soon.
